| Due to declining enrollment and the
State budget crisis, the district set a goal of closing two schools. The mission of this website is to communicate all pertaining
information and to provide a convenient way to share ideas to save Steve
Luther Elementary School from the possible closure. |

Cypress School District Board
of Trustees met on January 12th (Tuesday) and made a final decision to
close Christine P. Swain Elementary School and Robert C. Cawthone
Elementary School. Therefore, Steve Luther will stay open. Thank you
everyone for your great effort to save Steve Luther! |

MONDAY, September 28th - 7 p.m. @ La Palma Central Park
Luther parents are meeting together to brainstorm options for our
representatives to present at the committee meeting or to the
superintendent. |

WEDNESDAY, September 30th - 3:30 p.m. @ Cypress School District
Office
9470 Moody Street, Cypress. This is the next meeting of the
Master Facilities Planning Committee where criteria will be discussed
for deciding which schools will be recommended for closure.
