"I am not running for public office
-- I am running to SERVE the public."

I will bring Common Sense & Business Approach to City Council.

" Tough business minded leadership for Tough and Uncertain Economic Times! "

October 15th 10:30 AM - "My priorities will always be clear; as a City Councilman, I serve only the best interest of the PEOPLE, not any special interest group or political group. I will put the Council on the side of the PEOPLE. That is the only promise I make. We need councilman that has priorities straight and be able to make tough decisions if s/he believes that is best for the residents they serve."            ===> Click here and read more on Steve's "Campaign Blog" (The blog is updated frequently.)

This "Community Forum" is a place where residents and friends of La Palma can come together to discuss issues with one another. If you have suggestions for new topics or surveys, let us know. Let's make "our La Palma" better together.

Some council members stop communicating with the residents once they get elected. I believe residents' input should be reflected in city decisions. I will continue to listen to the residents and I will be your voice in the city council.

Note: A very simple registration is required in order to prevent SPAMMERS from posting on our COMMUNITY FORUM.

Having a strong police department and keeping our city safe is very important to me and my family.

Keeping our schools safer is high priority.

Keeping the fire station in our city and equipping and staffing adequately is important.

We should continue to Improve our streets and sidewalks and continue to make our city beautiful.

We need to continue to maintain aging infrastructure including sewers and storm drains.

I believe in highest stewardship over the public's money.

We should keep the taxes low. We should not collect taxes we don't need.

Our city is largely residential and we depend on a small number of businesses for significant portion of its revenue. The city staff and chamber of commerce should work closely and effectively with the local businesses to keep the jobs and revenue stream in La Palma.

We should look for ways to improve and expand recreation programs and facilities for all age groups including children, young families, and seniors.

Some prominent commercial properties in our city are not well maintained and look outdated. The city should work with the property owners and find a way to modernize those properties.

Dear Residents of La Palma,

My wife and I have been homeowners in La Palma for 17 years now and our three children attend(ed) local public schools including Steve Luther, Los Coyotes, and Oxford Academy. Our children also played baseball in Continental Little League.

My wife Nancy is a public school teacher of almost 20 years.

La Palma has been good to our family and I always felt that we should find a way to serve our community. With my family's support, I decided that, if you give me an opportunity, I'd like to utilize my diverse and successful experiences and skills to help our city to become even better by serving as a member of the City Council. I am not running to be a politician. I will be a servant of the people.

Attention residents who live north of Houston: I am fully aware of the school issue that you have been suffering with. Some of you are sending your kids to private schools. This has been a difficult on-going issue. As you are intimately aware, this issue involves five different school districts. I fully support your petition and I will do my best to bring all involved parties together to bring a resolution to this matter. As a parent of three children, I feel for you parents and I will do my best to get this issue resolved. Let's all work together to get this done!
"I believe city council should be nonpartisan in order to serve the residents well. I don't serve any political party and I don't serve any particular group. I will work with EVERYONE to implement the vision of our city and to serve best interest of La Palma residents."
